About us

NFS is a privately owned company, which was established in 1980 to specialise in all manner of distribution, warehousing, storage and handling. Based in Lancashire, our hub is adjacent to an extensive motorway network, enabling us to provide comprehensive delivery services throughout the UK and Ireland. Whilst we have the facilities to accommodate a diverse range of products, and the ability to undertake any task requested by our customers, our reputation as one of the Northwest's leading specialist chemical logistics operations is renowned.

The business has evolved over the years to meet existing and new customer needs. Part of our success is in our ability to adapt to the changing face of business and as a minimum fulfill, or exceed, customer requirements. As licensed waste carriers and operators of a special waste transfer station/recycling centre we aim to provide a single point supply to customers for all distribution needs.

Our strategically located depot offers quality internal storage and in addition external yard storage, which is fully secured using the latest audio / video surveillance. This guarantees our customers are able to relax in the knowledge that their goods are safe and secure.

We operate a modern mixed fleet of over 25 vehicles, ranging from 3.5 ton Vans
to 44 ton articulated units. The majority of the fleet is fitted with tail-lift facilities and
onboard compressors to facilitate discharge deliveries on behalf of our customers. As
our principal activities are groupage deliveries the majority of the fleet are 18/26 ton
curtain-sided, rigid vehicles.

Our customer service centre is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is operated by highly trained and skilled staff, with extensive knowledge and experience of the distribution industry. As a supplier we can provide as much or as little assistance as required, from managing your complete
logistical process to transporting a single consignment. We offer tailor made solutions to your individual requirements.

Training has played a major part in our success. Our staff are trained to the highest standards, skilled in the handling of hazardous & non-hazardous chemicals and are ADR certified. Our warehouse personnel are fully trained in the operation of all types of modern handling equipment and ongoing training ensures that we remain at the forefront of product handling.

We have our own onsite DGSA and WAMITAB managers who are on call 24hrs a day to give advice to our own staff and our customers if required.
